What is your main goal as an innovator?

To bring radical breakthroughs by creating platforms that will encourage free, creative and collaborative thinking using the internet.

Tell us something about yourself (something we couldn't tell from your resume)

I enjoy getting to know new and different people, hearing new ideas, music and travelling to new places

Project Information

Give us your best pitch!

What is your venture's mission?

To create an open independent platform for promoting, encouraging and developing new approaches to Jewish texts, through collaborative thinking and creative synergy.

What is unique or innovative about your venture?

The venture consists of promoting open creative transparent collaborative wiki style-dialogues around Jewish texts, in order to help construct communities that can davelop, store and use their own interpretations for personal and group growth. I aim to create a platform that will be open to all with no restrictions, which will produce an ongoing online flow of thoughts-opinions and questions that will start a continuous sinergetic exchange of opinions and knowledge. This collaborative thinking will create new ideas, inerpetations and establish a wide body of collective knowledge that will be constantly growing and developing. this open sharing platform will also allow the encounters between learned scolars and lay people, people from different religious backgrounds and approaches to the Jewish texts. This open platform will give people the opportunity to express themselves in a non judgemental and secure environment joining in this way the creation of shared interpretations. The nature of the activity, the content, and the entire development of the website will be determined by its' users in an unrestricted, easy and comfortable fashion while not being subject to any kind of limitation, control or filtering externally imposed.

How would you define the current stage of your venture?

(i had just a few options to pick from) I've discussed the project with family, friends and a few mentors and they are encouraging me to pursue.

How do you plan to cover the costs of your venture?

This is a major challenge to my venture as an accurate evaluation of costs has to be prepared once I will be able to plan, in detail, all the necessary steps needed. I believe that the total amount needed will be raised in a fundrasing campaign using various approaches which I hope to learn in your program.

What do you hope to gain from the Institute? How will the Institute affect your venture?

I hope to profit very significantly from participation in the Institute's summer program in order to help translate my ideas into reality. It is vital and fundemental for me to acquire the tools necessary to carry this out, from planning to fundraising skills, from tools necessary for transforming visions and concepts into a dynamic independent and living web site. I expect the institute program to assist me in planning the necessary steps for setting up my innovative project, both technicaly and conceptually. All this will be possible largely by intense and widespread networking, getting to know people from different backgrounds and experiences, sharing with them perceptions, analysing options and developing suitable solutions for our mutual benefit.

Community Involvement
We are building the Jewish Community’s next generation of pioneers. Therefore, the PresenTense Fellowship is as much about realizing the community's potential as it is about the individual project

Tell us your vision of the future of the Jewish community

In the reality of the post-modern world the Jewish comunity which wants to maintain and increase its relevance will have to change its emphasis from the physical location and to become more active-open-free-transparent and collaborative in a virtual, comprehensive, supporting platform. in a global world the individual will be able to be part of different communities built around varied common interests through the internet. this will also be the reality for the Jewish communities around the world.

What particular skills or talents do you have that you can contribute to the group and the work of your peers? (i.e. graphic design, programming, budgeting expertise, etc.)

The following are my qualities which I can contribute to the group and the work of my peers:
Creative and unconventional thinking
Open mindness
Knowledge of Jewish texts
Team player
Empathy
Non judgemental aproach to others
Attentive to small details

:)
i'm hopeing for the best.....
